1987 Porsche RUF Carrera “Goldfinger”

Acquired in February, 2024 from legendary Porsche enthusiast and collector Michael Kelter, this important Porsche Ruf creation was dubbed “Goldfinger” during its transformation at the Ruf workshop in Pfaffenhausen.

The donor car was sourced in Sweden.  Once at Ruf, the vehicle was fully disassembled, and its rain gutters were removed.  It was determined that the existing RSR-style bodywork would be retained, and an integrated roll cage was fabricated and fitted.  Already sporting an RSR front bumper with an integrated oil cooler, a Ruf bumper was added to the rear to accommodate the new custom exhaust.  A 964-era retractable spoiler was added to maintain the classic profile.

Once the body modifications were complete, multiple coats of 991 generation Lime Gold metallic paint were applied.

Interior fittings include a gold Alcantara headliner, and carbon fibre bucket seats covered in brown buffalo hides and pepita fabric seating surfaces.

Mechanically, the 3.2 litre engine was disassembled and displacement was increased to 3.4 liters, with power rated at 270 bhp.  The G50 five-speed was retained, with an up-rated clutch.  Brakes were likewise upgraded with large diameter drilled and ventilated discs, and larger calipers.

Final touches include a one-off set of 17 inch Fuchs alloy wheels, 9 inches in front, and 10 in the rear, shod with Toyo high-performance 235/40 ZR17 tires in front, and 255/40 ZR 17’s in the rear.
